Meet our new Events Coordinator, Ashley Neja!

Meet Ashley Neja, Wright College’s new Events Coordinator!

Ashley Neja

Wright student Ashley Neja recently joined the Facilities team as Events Coordinator. In this role, Ashley is responsible for helping external organizations and community groups schedule, plan and set up events on the Wright College campus. Recent events she has worked with include the CPS Science Fair and last week’s Town Hall meeting with the District office vice chancellors.  She is also helping to coordinate the upcoming Board of Elections events, Ladder Up Tax Assistance program and SURS Information Session on March 27.

For more than two years, Ashley served as Wright’s Student Activities Coordinator, where she planned and managed student events on campus, coordinated U-PASS distribution and prepared and delivered presentations.

Now in her final semester at Wright, Ashley will continue to develop her skills by studying arts and entertainment management at Columbia College, where she plans to enroll for fall 2014. She says that she will miss Wright’s staff and faculty and the personal attention that students receive in the classes here.

Outside of her work and studies, Ashley enjoys painting, drawing, writing and listening to music (indie rock and alternative), and plans to learn to play the guitar.

Ashley also enjoys Chicago’s diverse arts, music and entertainment offerings, including concerts, museums and summer neighborhood festivals. A longtime resident of Jefferson Park, Ashley graduated with honors from Resurrection College Prep High School in Norwood Park.

Ashley can be reached via email at or by calling 773.481.8143
